| i ALMOST forgot how much i loved the city<3
how could i live without the women selling batteries up and down the trains calling out in an indeciperably fast, fragmented, chinese-accented english?
or the man with the dreadlocks playing "rainbow connection" on his steel drums, and his fellow rastafarian accompanying him with over-turned plastic buckets next to him.
and the wonderful chinese men who play their one stringed instruments with sorry and pleading emotion.
then there are the bongo men at times square station, who never cease to bob their heads along on their own beat.
and of course the countless singing trios and quartets with their mismatched harmony, butchering old favorites.
but most of all, who can forget my favorite, the man with the doll pinned to his shoes dancing and entertaining in the small clearing at 34th street station...
where else but the city can you get that kind of entertainment for free?
